On 30 December 2025, a landmark cooperation agreement was signed between our company and Silk Road Halal Enterprise Development (Hong Kong) Limited at WALL’s office. This agreement marks a significant step towards enhancing Halal Certification initiatives in Hong Kong and supporting local businesses’ access to high‑growth Muslim markets. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr Chen Qingdong, President of the China Hong Kong Economic Trading International Association (CHKETIA). His presence underscores the importance and recognition of this collaboration.
Silk Road Halal Enterprise Development (Hong Kong) Limited, incorporated in Hong Kong in December 2025, focuses on promoting Halal enterprise development along the Silk Road economic belt and related markets. It aims to bridge cultural and economic ties by supporting compliant business practices and facilitating collaboration between Hong Kong and Halal‑focused economies.
Ms. Syeeda is a prominent leader in the international Halal Certification industry, particularly for her work promoting and establishing Halal Certification services in China and the wider Asian region. She serves as China Regional Director of International Halal Certification (IHC), which offers Halal Certification services globally for food, beverages, ingredients, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, animal feed, packaging, food service establishments and hotels.
The primary objective of this cooperation agreement is to prioritize the promotion of Halal Certification projects from 2026 onwards, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and other interested partners in Hong Kong and the wider region. Halal Certification helps ensure that products and services comply with Islamic principles and recognised standards, enabling businesses to access rapidly growing markets in Muslim-majority countries and communities around the globe. Through this partnership, we specialise in helping clients obtain Halal Certification and related services: identifying potential clients who are interested in Halal Certification, helping them understand certification requirements, guiding completion of Silk Road’s “Halal Certification Application Form”, and assisting with document preparation to ensure complete and accurate submissions for faster processing.
Based on current trajectories, government plans, and global market dynamics, Halal Certification in Hong Kong is expected to be one of sustained expansion. This cooperation agreement is particularly timely given the growing global demand for Halal-certified goods, which spans food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and finance, potentially boosting export opportunities for businesses and fostering inclusive economic growth.
Looking to the future, as more establishments seek Recognised Halal Certification recognition, Hong Kong is well-placed to become a welcoming destination for Muslim visitors and investors. The shift will attract more tourists and boost economic growth, driving Hong Kong to become a major player in Asia’s expanding Halal market. Ultimately, this cooperation aims not only to empower local enterprises to participate in the global Halal economy, but also to support Hong Kong’s aspiration to grow as a regional hub for Halal-related business development, fostering sustainable and ethical practices among diverse partners.
