On 23 September 2026, Mr. Rando Li, Partner of WALL VViA, was invited by HKU SPACE to serve as a guest speaker, where he shared insights into the latest developments and emerging applications of Agentic AI in the finance sector. Drawing on practical project experience, he discussed how AI can be effectively implemented in financial operations and how organisations can generate tangible business value from AI-driven initiatives.
As AI technology continues to evolve rapidly, market attention is increasingly shifting from the technology itself to its real-world business outcomes. For many organisations, the key question is no longer “What can AI do?” but rather “How can AI be successfully integrated into financial workflows and translated into meaningful business value?”
During the session, Mr. Li explored how finance functions can leverage Agentic AI by starting with everyday business documents, data, and operational processes. He demonstrated how Agentic AI can progress from understanding unstructured information and structuring transaction data to supporting accounting management, financial analysis, operational monitoring, and management reporting.
Beyond simply “understanding data,” Agentic AI is increasingly capable of understanding business processes and workflows, enabling finance teams to enhance analytical capabilities and support more informed decision-making. Mr. Li also shared practical observations and lessons learned from various AI implementation projects, highlighting how organisations can progressively build effective AI applications by leveraging existing business processes and data foundations.
